Coming to university for the first time, or moving off campus in your second year of study, can be a disorienting experience. Have you ever felt like you wanted to connect with Exeter the way you feel connected to more familiar places, but don’t know where to start? Then why not join us in an exciting new project.

You’ll work with academics in Geography and English – and other students like you – to explore and investigate YOUR Exeter using tried and tested practices of community mapping. You’ll discover things about the history and geography of Exeter, the city and the University, that you never knew. You’ll meet members of the local community and you’ll work with your fellow students to create a striking and imaginative map that represents your experience. And hopefully it will give you a stronger sense of place at a time when it might be really valuable to you.
